Moisturizing Face & Body Paint

My girls like to do face painting from time to time. With Community Days, Fairs, and other events coming up my oldest daughter living home helps with face painting. She will be doing face painting at one of the community events next week and then again at the fair so we picked up some face & body paint to have on hand for our own use and for her to practice with so she is ready.

This face & body Paint from iMustech is nice because each color is safe inside sealed 12ml tubes that can be closed with tubes and aren't open to the elements in between uses. iMustech also includes a nice paint brush for applying the face & body paint, although my daughter uses several items to get the effects she personally wants or is creating on someone's face.

The colors in this set of 12 are lemon yellow, burnt umber, vermilion, sap green, viridian, phthalo blue, titanium white, crimson red, ultramarine, burnt sienna, yellow ochre, and black. The best part about these face & body paints is that they are not drying, they are actually moisturizing.

With other sets we have had I have always put cold cream or moisturizer on my children's faces before beginning. I just makes a nice pallet and helps with easy clean up when you are ready to remove. I also like that this paint does not crack when it is drying, showing the importance of moisturizing effect.

Last but not least is that these face & body paints are safe and non toxic. I can't rate them as vegan, which is the only thing I can see that would make them great for everyone.

The iMustech face & body paint set can be found at my affiliate link below.

Stainless Steel Cups

Growing up I remember going to friends or even families houses and they had these colored metal cups to drink out of. Our family was more into glass or plastic and with my own family, we had 6 children so we did mostly plastic it just made sense, but that was because I couldn't find those metal cups I remembered as a child.

These cups from SeaTurtle are stainless steel, much more sturdier then the cups I remember from my childhood and come in a pack of 4. Two of the cups are 16oz and the other two are 10oz great for families. What I love most is that they come with a lifetime warranty which can be worth it in the long run.

The stainless steel cups from SeaTurtle can be found at my affiliate link below.

Easy Bun Hairstyle

So about a month ago I learned at the age of 45 to do French Braids. With having had 4 girls you would have thought I would have learned long ago but alas I didn't and taught myself and did pretty good the very first time and it is getting easier everytime I do it.

Now my 9 year old who asked for the French Braids wants her hair in buns all of the time, and to be honest it is just a pain in the butt. I wanted something that would give me great results with very little effort. School mornings are rushed already so I wanted to be able to give her the hairstyles she wanted as quick as possible to get her out the door on time.

This DIY synthetic bun makers is so easy to use, it literally takes seconds to do. I start with a ponytail, then I put the ponytail between the attached bun maker and slide down to end of ponytail then start wrapping, when I get it to the base of the ponytail I let it make a circle which it will do all on it's own. You may need to adjust depending on thickness of hair and then spread the hair around the circle and you are done. This can be done low, mid, high, or even in my older daughters case if you have more then one you can do more then one in the back or with two ponytails on the sides.

I love it when my daughter is excited about a hairstyle and mommy can actually pull them off, making her happy which makes me happy too.

The Synthetic DIY Bun Maker can be found in 6 different colors here

Lovely Candy Co.

Looking for something yummy for your candy dish or maybe to tuck inside some stockings? Lovely Candy Co. has some great options available. I found some great candies to try for our family, from caramels to licorice they have you covered. My favorite was the Salted Caramels.

My girls are more of a fruit chew kind of candy eater so we even found some candies for them to try. Looks like my sweet tooth and my children will be well cared for this coming Holiday Season.

Since I originally wrote this the Lovely Candy Co. has added so many more options. I can't wait to try some of their newer offerings.
