Here I am lying in bed next to my oldest daughter while my grand daughter plays on my iPad. The day after Thanksgiving my oldest daughter calls wanting to spend the night. Dorothy and Deanna are off at Friends houses and I am all alone so of course I say yes, no matter the cost.
Samantha tells me she misses sleeping next to me. Something she hasn't done since she was a small girl, and something I never though she would miss. It fills my heart with happiness and sadness all at the same time. She was the baby who as soon as she was done breastfeeding wanted to be put down to sleep. No cuddling for her.
Last night as we slept or rather while she slept I brushed her hair with my fingers behind her ears and once I fell asleep was able to put my arm around her while we slept. I know she is skinny but being able to feel her bones while sleeping made it clear to me she is slipping away from us and I want to be able to help her heal.
She may not be my oldest child or my only child but she is my child, and I don't want to see any harm come to her. She has two beautiful daughters who lover her bunches and to think of them growing up without their mother breaks my heart.
Samantha for some reason just never realized just how beautiful she has always been. This sickness took over her mind, leaving her fighting everyday for her life.
Last night she took a shower and tried to take her potassium and she had to fight to keep it down, losing the battle but hoping enough of it stayed down to keep her from having to visit the hospital again.
Most of her hospital stays have been pretty much her on her own. With us having no vehicle or way to get to her we have been left to wonder if she is getting the care she needs, if she will make it through this time. It is scary as a parent when the phone rings and the first thing you think of will it be the call to tell you she isn't here anymore.
This is a child I stayed with while she was baby in the hospital never leaving her side, taking over all of the care for her once the Nurses taught me how to. The child I breastfed, even after having a bought of mastitis that caused blood poisoning, a child who a I made sure had everything we could afford so she could grow up healthy. She had all of her shots, we told her how beautiful and proud we were of her.
As a teen she was a teen mom who we supported all of the way. She continued school through her pregnancy was the first to pump milk for her daughter while attending high school, and finished on time with a scholarship to college. She is smart, beautiful, and brings joy to our hearts. I pray for her health every night but know that God will only do what he has planned, which I know not.
As a mother I worry about my children. I miss the ones I don't see often, love the time with those who are home, while praying for their salvation and health. I love them all the same but worry about my Samantha the most. She needs me as a mother and with what we are going through it is hard to give her the care she so desperately needs.
As I am ending this I can hear her breathing which is like music to my ears. If there is breath there is life which gives me hope of another day with this sweet child of mine. So begins another day with a daughter battling anorexia and bulimia.

I love to find toys out of the ordinary for my children to play with. Things that not every other child has because I want my children to be different.
Finding ETI Toys was really nice because they have all sorts of different kind of toys. So far all of them have come with their own storage which makes it great for a school or home setting. Also great for travel, or for what we call quite bags.
This set really opened up a whole new world for my daughter because even though we have had building toys in the past she has been the one that never got to really play with them because the boys had all grown up and moved on.

I have always found reading very calming and self help books along with parenting books a learning experience. A few years ago I really wanted to get into reviewing games during our family game nights but most of what we already had were games almost everyone has not that I don't mind doing reviews on older games because I don't. We still enjoy playing them but I wanted to show my readers new games that they might not know about so now that I have a little more experience under my belt and more newer games to tell my readers about I want to start doing game reviews more often.
This week we played Fish, Fish, Squish made by Winning Moves Games. When I first opened it I noticed there was squish dough in four colors so I told my girls to grab some snack bags to store the dough in after the game but to my surprise this company had thought of everything and put in 4 plastic resealable bags for the dough to be stores in. First good score for our family. A second goes to the squishy dough because who doesn't like playing with dough?
This game is meant for two - four players with each picking out a dough color a fish mold (games come with 4) and a fish card to stand your fish on. Each person makes 5 fish. Then the oldest person sets up the game. Very easy to do.
Now for the squishing part of the game. You just flip one card at at a time and if you get three different color fish in a row you get to squish one of any opponents fish. The person with the most fish left when all cards have been turned over wins. We had to go into overtime because two of us had two fish left. My husband ended up winning.
This game is more for a child but my 13 year old and even my husband and myself had fun at 43. Like I said who doesn't like playing with dough.
Overall this game has staying power. If your dough ever gets worn out just replace with your favorite squish dough which you can find in just about any toy store. When you first work the dough that comes with it make sure an adult helps, it is a bit tough, once it is worked in it is soft and pliable though. Our family gives this game a thumbs up.

We have always enjoyed playing games, but finding new games we haven't played yet to add to our collection is sometimes hard.
I recently went through our board games and have a list of older games that we have played so much that we are missing pieces or they are falling apart so I added those to our buy again list.
Family Alias is a great game for big or small families. Our family had quite a good time playing. At first my husband was not quite in it because he didn't think it would be fun but after a few turns he was right in the game like everyone else.
Easy to set up, play, and gives several options for play, and also a way to make it easier for children to play by giving them other options to get their points to move on the board. You can see in my picture one of my daughters helping out the other when she had to explain the picture without saying the word on the card.
This gives both children and adults a fun way to be able to explain something to someone else by using other words to get them to guess the right word. I have to warn you the adult cards are harder then you would think, at least the first card was for me. I told my husband I would have had to get a dictionary out for a couple of the words but the family cards are friendly for any age.
You also have wild cards that are just fun and silly ways to do things during the game and then kids cards that bring the game down a bit so that the youngest can play just as well as the older game players.
Slotted for ages 7 and up. 2-8 players. We played with 4 people and the youngest was 8. She loves family game nights.

Our family is new to this Probiotic thing and honestly I thought it was just a way for companies to make money until that is my 8 year old came down sick and on top of her medication they said we should start giving her a Probiotic but finding one for children isn't as easy as I thought it would be.
