Taking care of your skin

Part of taking care of your skin is protecting it from heat and cold.  Start with getting enough hydration or water in your diet, as well as a balanced healthy diet. This is the start to healthy skin. Staying away from drugs, alcohol, and smoking can make a big difference in how your skin ages a well looks. Of course you have to take into account the genes you acquired along the way from your ancestors. 

Everyone had different skin and has to find their own personal skin care regimen, but protecting you skin from the sun is a must. Make sure to always put on Sunscreen when you are going to be out in the sun. This is something I don't do as much as I would like to, mainly from laziness. 

I use a face cream with built in sunscreen which I always rub on my neck and hands. Other then that I am not always protected. I am more proactive about protecting my children's skin then I am my own. Why? Simply because they go outside more often that myself. 

When I know I am going to be out in the sun for any length of time such as taking the kids to sports practice, theme parks, the beach, etc. I make sure to slather up but for everyday when I will only be out in the sun for a few minutes I just don't take the time to put it on, but I should really do this because most car rides are over 30 minutes which brings it up to at least an hour of driving in the sun. Even though cars now have UV for the windshields, you really should slather up just on precaution.

Need a little extra help touching your toes?

Even at my size I have always been able to touch my toes except for when I was  pregnant. I recently found out that most of my children could not touch their toes. Crazy right. I thought the school had them stretching and exercising. It does show you that you can not assume the school is doing their job keeping your children healthy when they are away from home.

I know that touching your toes does not mean you are healthy but it does mean you have flexibility. All of my children could touch their toes before they went to school. So to remedy the situation I have had them working on stretching touching their toes and even having them do some yoga which they enjoy.

With having Fibromyalgia I can't quite stretch and bend like I used to from the mere fat that has built up on my body, but I can still touch my toes, and almost do a split (the fat on my thighs would probably bust open if I pushed my body all the way to the limit) which is quite amazing in itself.

Childbirth is easier with the more flexibility you have. Stretching is so very important to both health and mind. I usually stretch after I am done meditating which feels great.

What a great product. I have tried out several face paint kits, and so far this is the smoothest to use on my daughters face. I didn't have to fight with the paint at all. What I really love for my Vegan readers is that is actually Vegan which is great for those looking for something safe and fun to do with their children.

Lately I have been seeing a lot of people walking and running with what looks like a fanny pack with water bottles attached, at first I thought they were weights, but later found out they were hydration belts.

Great idea for the avid walker or runner, even a hiker might find this useful. What I didn't like was how small this was.
