I am so excited to be able to share the
CSB Illustrated Notetaking Bible with my friends, family, and readers. I find that when I use my bible I am highlighting, writing notes, and doodling while learning the word of God.

I have notes and papers tucked into my Bible and Bible case that I find important to my life, inspirational, or for helping to minister to someone. I even have things my children made while growing up from Sunday School tucked in here and there.

The songs I sing in church or at home are highlighted in my Bible in one color so I can find them quickly. I am also lucky enough to have more than one Bible and I use each of them differently.

In just a few days I will be able to enjoy the CSB Illustrated Notetaking Bible for myself. I am excited to be able to color pictures, verses, etc to give my Bible a pop of color.

Check back here after 4/15/25 for my review.

I finally got my copy of the
CSB Illustrated Notetaking Bible from Holman Bibles and it is much more beautiful in real life; the pictures I was given to use do not give it justice. I love that it has 2 ribbon markers, which make it great for saving where you are reading and where you may be following along with a sermon. It has many pictures you can fill in with color and plenty of space for taking notes, too.

This Bible is by no means a lightweight so be aware that it weighs 4 lbs 4oz in the box sleeve that it comes in and 3 lbs 11oz on its own. Depending on your strength in traveling with this, you may want this as a Bible for home study and reflection as opposed to a church or ministry Bible.

For me I could use it either way because my rollator could hold it when I am moving from one place to another. I am also pretty sure that my current Bible weighs just about as much, if you take into account the case and all of the papers and things I have in it.

I love how this Bible feels and rests while open. It has beautiful maps and a concordance to help you study or find scriptures more quickly. It also has a weekly reading schedule check off list to be able to read the Bible in a year. The only thing that could make this better is if the words of Jesus were in red, but that I can get from several of my other Bibles.

The CSB Illustrated Notetaking Bible would make a great gift for Easter, Baptism, Birthday, Christmas, etc.

Enhance your personal Bible study with the CSB Illustrator's Notetaking Bible. This uniquely crafted Bible features large, easy-to-read 9.5-point type in a single-column setting with wide journaling margins and line-art illustrations on every page spread. Including filigree designs, Scripture quotes, and other unique Scripture art alongside plenty of space for personal creativity and journaling, this Bible will inspire you to engage God’s Word freshly and excitingly. This beautiful Bible provides the perfect place for meaningful creativity and personalization, over time creating an incredible keepsake for your journey.

Having been healed in my lifetime and seeing others healed this movie has my attention. I can't wait to see it and hear of other people being healed with only one true answer to how the healing happened. Show me your glory will be in theaters May 13-15.

How do you explain … the unexplainable? When does the impossible … become possible? Why are some prayers for healing answered and others … never are? Through true stories of the supernatural crashing into human suffering, a compelling new documentary arrives in theaters this spring—unlocking the possibility that the impossible still happens in our world. Meet experts who have studied miracles and suffering, discover true stories of the seemingly unbelievable, and be reminded that prayers can be answered in ways that we could never expect or imagine. AUDREY'S CHILDREN tells the untold true story of visionary British physician Dr. Audrey Evans, who burst onto the scene in 1969 as the first female Chief of Oncology at the world-renowned Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Battling sexism, medical conventions, and the subterfuge of her peers, Evans developed the first Neuroblastoma Staging System, co-founded the first Ronald McDonald House for families of patients, and, ultimately, impacted the lives of millions of children and families around the world. When Dr. Evans started her work, only 10 % of children with cancer survived, now nearly 80% survive. Rated PG. https://www.audreyschildren.com/

The Table is Set

The people of Israel welcome Jesus as king while his disciples anticipate his crowning. But—instead of confronting Rome—he turns the tables on the Jewish religious festival. Their power threatened, the country’s religious and political leaders will go to any length to ensure this Passover meal is Jesus’ last.

The Chosen is a groundbreaking historical drama based on the life of Jesus (Jonathan Roumie), seen through the eyes of those who knew him. Set against the backdrop of Roman oppression in first-century Israel, the seven-season series shares an authentic and intimate look at Jesus’ revolutionary life and teachings.

With over 250 million viewers (as of 7/27/24), The Chosen is one of the most-watched shows in the world.

The Chosen is back for Holy Week, the most pivotal week in human history. Tables are turned. Friends are betrayed. And powerful leaders plot the death of Jesus. The Chosen: Last Supper is the must see event of the Easter season.

The Chosen: Last Supper is releasing in theaters in 3 parts! Part One (episodes 1-2) releases on March 28; Part Two (episodes 3-5) releases on April 4; and Part Three (episodes 6-8) releases on April 11.

The Chosen: Last Supper moved my emotions more than other renditions I have watched in the past. The most emotional part for me was when Jesus rode into the city on the donkey. It also drove home verses from the bible more clearly when they show different parts in the movie being acted out. You don't have to be a Bible reader for this film to move you, but it does help you understand what you have read more clearly.

To be honest I had not watched any of The Chosen series because I was afraid it would not be biblically correct, so I reached out to several who have watched the series and also preach the word of God. Everyone who responded said the series was good and that I should watch it as well. I am now catching up on the series and I love what I am seeing.

A powerful cinematic Biblical journey that brings to life the ultimate act of love and sacrifice as seen through the eyes of those who walked alongside Jesus.

I am excited to see so many faith-based movies and shows especially when they are about the time and people of the Bible and Jesus. It brings the words to life which can strengthen your walk and or relationship with Jesus.

Check back here after 3/12 for my review.

3/15/2025

Growing up in the church, you hear about the story of Jesus all the time. What you don't get is how it might have been in between verses of the Bible. The movie The Last Supper did a great job with visuals. I love the opening scenes and the quick show of feeding the multitude. It shows how the Last Supper might have been, and not all dressed up like it has been perceived in paintings. It shows just how much turmoil Judas might have been going through before he turned on Jesus for a mere 30 pieces of silver.

I did feel they rushed towards the end because the movie was about The Last Supper and other movies have been made about his crucifixion, so that was where things went a bit more quickly. They only included enough to give you the feeling of hope and awe when he rises again after his death.  It was a good movie when you understand it sets up the characters quickly, not all of his disciples are named, and the main theme was about how the Last Supper might have been. For those who haven't read or been taught about Jesus this is a good way to get a little information so that you can grow your knowledge about his life.
