Learning while playing Games

There is no secret our family loves to play games. As a parent I also like learning games, and games that can be played in different ways like this Magnetic fishing game. I absolutely love that it comes in a package that can house the whole game in between play. First of all it is a fishing game where you can fish for numbered magnetic fish. This can be changed up many ways, as well as a set of alphabet magnetic letters. Use them in the game on a magnetic board etc.

Then you have the card set which teaches animals, the alphabet, and matching. I love the simple design and how much I can see this being played with by my grand children.

Getting Ready for Christmas

Some of my readers may remember that almost 6 years ago my husband fell at work, causing him to be disabled. After workman's comp ran out our funds we had saved went quicker then his disability starting up and we ended up homeless. It was not what we had ever imagined happening. Our family made it through by faith alone. There just is no other way to explain getting through about a year and half of being homeless and then a few months in an apartment from hell to being homeless for a little over a month again before getting the apartment we have now.

During that time few people would help and those that did I had no way of thanking except to say thank you over and over again. It was a hard time. Several people helped out with gifts, sent cards, reached out on Facebook, and even took the time to come and visit. So this Christmas after two very rough years we are sitting down and have money enough to send out Cards to those who took the time to help a family in need.

These Woodland Animal Blank Christmas Cards are just what we needed to be able to write personal messages to those who took the time to care for a family who was going through a rough and unexpected time. I hope that these cards show the gratitude we have in the blessings these people gave to us, not knowing how truly they touched our lives.

This set of Woodland Animal Christmas Cards comes with 36 blank cards in 6 different designs, envelopes, and stickers for closing the envelopes. They can be found at the link below.

The Magical Zoo #1

MarksvilleandMe reviews
The Magical Zoo #1
written by
Dan Jackson

We have been reading books from Dan Jackson for quite a while now and each book is filled with rich illustrations, a good story line, and a little bit of learning fun thrown in. Our children and grandchildren  really enjoy his books.

As a mom I love that they enjoy them but also like the education part of the book as well. Without knowing it my children, grandchildren, and even myself are learning about animal facts together. I have always known that learning while having fun is the best way to learn because you seem to remember that kind of learning better than traditional ways.

In #1 of the series we start with Sally who is reading a book in the library and out pops a whole bunch of different animals followed by the zookeeper who needs her help finding and returning the animals to the zoo, Milkshake her kitty joins in on the search as well. Find out how they find and return each zoo animal in this series.

You can find The Magical Zoo #1 on Amazon.

This is Sally. She is twelve years old and loves to read. Sally lives in a small town called Durham in North Carolina, and she visits the library almost two times a week. People say Sally is addicted to reading.
When Sally goes to the library, she takes Milkshake, her cat. Milkshake likes to sit on the tall stool in the library and watch Sally while she is looking for a good book to read.
Sally believes that Milkshake understands her completely, even if he can't talk to her.
It was Monday morning, and Sally did not have to go to school since it was a holiday.  What she didn't know is that this day was going to be special.
Book #1 in the Series

As a mom I want my children to love reading, so finding books that they enjoy, and learn something from is big on my list. We have been reading books from Dan Jackson for a while now and he doesn't ever let us down with both engaging and educational books.

The Magical Zoo #2 is of course the second book in the series, takes place in a zoo, with cute characters, Sally, Milkshake her cat, a zookeeper, and of course an animal or two. They always have to figure out how to do something and there are some facts about the animals or zoo which is where the learning comes in.

Children remember better when it is given in a fun manner. In this installment, Sally, Milkshake, and the zookeeper have to figure out how to get Tibby the Tiger back where she belongs.

You can find this book and other books in the series on Amazon.

Spring Pet Ear Cleaner for Dogs and Cats

Until a few months ago I didn't even know such a thing as Ear cleaner for pets existed. I had always used a homemade concoction that my parents used.

Since the bottle of Spring Pet Ear Cleaner for Dogs and Cats has a nice nozzle for administering the liquid to my animals ears it makes it much easier to use, so that my pet can feel better quicker.

Very easy to use and we have seen results right away as well as a much happier pet.

You can purchase Spring Pet Ear Cleaner for Dogs and Cats in Amazon.

What Spring Pet has to say about their product.
Ear infections in pets are one of the most common problems seen in both dogs and cats. Parasites, such as ear mites, can irritate the ear and lead to secondary infections. Also, the ear canal in our pets is longer and deeper than ours, which can lead to a warm, dark moist environment that bacteria and yeast love to grow in. Hormonal imbalances and allergies can also lead to problems in your pets ears.

Cleaning your pet's ears should be part of your grooming routine to remove excess wax and debris that can harbor these harmful micro-organisms. Our ear cleaner is specifically formulated to deodorize, dry, acidify and gently clean your pet's ears without stinging. Our solution is gentle enough to use every day, after bathing or swimming to help dry the ear.

How to use:

- Fill the ear canal with the ear cleansing solution.
- Gently massage the base of the ear to loosen the debris and wax. The ear canal travels downward along your pet's face. You should hear a squishing sound.
- Let your pet shake it's head.
- Clean the ear debris with a cotton ball. Do not use cotton tip swabs down in the ear canal. This tends to pack the debris rather than clean it.

For excessively dirty ears you can use 2-3 times a day for several days.

For maintenance of healthy ears use once or twice a week or as often as your veterinarian recommends.

If your notice redness, swelling, painful ears, foul odor, or the debris does not resolve after a few days of use, please seek advice of your veterinarian for further diagnostics and treatment.

100% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee allows you to try Ear Cleaner RISK FREE. Just contact us through Amazon if you are not happy with the results and we will fully refund you.

Unique not-stinging formula cleans and deodorizes pet's ears. Soothing veterinary strength formula is gentle enough to use every day. Helps remove the dirt and debris caused by ear mite infestation. Aids in breaking down ear wax that can keep medication from reaching target micro-organisms. Dries and acidifies the pet's external ear canal which inhibits further growth of harmful micro-organisms, such as yeast and bacteria. Aloe Vera and Vitamins A, C, E & F help to restore ear canal to a healthier state and reduces itching and redness.

For maintenance of healthy ears.  Use once or twice a week or as often as your veterinarian recommends to clean external ear canal. Use as an ear flush to bring up excess dirt and debris and clean with a cotton ball or paper towel.

Can also be used to remove debris prior to administration of prescription otic medications for treatment of ear infections.

Has a fresh cucumber melon scent to help make ears smell better.
