Finding Comfortable Sheets

Recently I was sent a set of King Size sheets to try from PeachSkinSheets. I don't know about you but when I am shopping for sheets once I find a set I really like. I like to stop on because once they are no longer made you have to search all over again for a set that will feel great while laying in them, that fit your bed properly without slipping off, that wash well, and that look great with your decor. 

PeachSkinSheets might be solid color sheets but they meet all of the requirements that I need in a bed sheet. The only thing I suggest is that when you launder follow directions with washing them on their own and drying as instructed for best results. With King Size anything it easy to remember but with other sizes you tend to put in extra items to fill the washer. 

My favorite little extra is the little peach zipper pull. I know it has nothing to do with the sheets but it is a cute extra. 

I am always skeptic about new sheets. Most sheets I find fit perfect the first time and then once washed, won't wit the bed, slip off of the edges, bunch up, pill up, become scratchy, and the list goes on and on till I end up just using them for rags and out more money. 

For the sheets I love I try to buy more before they sell out or stop being made in that design. We try to have solid color sheets on hand that go with all of our bedroom decor. For us that would be black, grey, white, and cream at the moment. 

PeachSkinSheets are awesome because they have lived up wash after wash, and even if I don't get to get them on the bed as soon as they are clean I find that still look great. I am from the country so a few wrinkles don't bother me, just make it a little more homier. For those who don't like wrinkles heed the directions carefully and they will never steer you wrong.

This is a nice piece of art or home decor. I was planning on using this on the beach, but after seeing how beautiful it is I am not sure. Because of the large size 80x60 inches this can be used for a wall hanging, beach blanket, picnic blanket, bed covering, etc. This is made from polyester so you can expect this to last for years to come. 

I know once my older daughter sees it she is going to want it but this is staying put here. Can not wait to move and start decorating, this is going to be a really nice addition to everything else I have been putting away.

Mellanni Sheets

I have a few sets of Mellanni sheets but have never bought just a single piece before but needed a dark fitted sheet while we are staying at the motel. Sure they give us sheets, but there are times in a women's life where we want dark sheets. These sheets from Mellanni are microfiber. They are stain resistant and hold their color wash after wash.

Sometimes you will buy sheets that look and feel nice the first time you use them to find out after a few uses you area already seeing major wear. You won't find these with the Mellanni sheets which is probably why I keep coming back to their products over and over again.

My favorite part besides the the quality is that the fitted sheets are elastic all the way around so that you have a nice snug fit with no draping flat pieces which makes a bed look great as well keeping it in place while in use. I also love the generous 16 inch pockets that will fit most mattresses with room to spare.

Primitive Country Wood White Welcome Owl Sign

When decorating or planning a new look at lot can go into that from deciding on a design or theme to actually finding what you would like.

In this case I just wanted something nice for our door to our room, but after receiving this to review, I learned that our Church's new nursery will revolve around owls and other woodland creatures so I am going to donate this to them for the nursery door.

This was packaged well and in the right light looks more like the top picture then the picture I was able to get from my tablet. I just love the sparkly eyes on the owls. The sign is well made with a sturdy attached wire hanger.

This is a great addition for the owl lover in your family that would have been my late Aunt Anna. She just adored Owls they were everywhere in her home.

American Oak Wood Barrel

This is a really nice decor item for your kitchen or bar area. We will be using ours in our kitchen.
Very authentic and super cute. Makes a great talk piece as well.

My husband told me if we get another Saint Bernard he might be able to make a collar out of this for it. Awesome third idea for anyone interested.

Storage Cubes to the rescue

Storage cubes are one of those things that can hide messes, or organize items it really depends on how you use them.

For us it helps organize items like my review items, the kids toys, and other things like electronics. You can even organize paperwork inside of them.

We like how these storage cubes have handles on each side which we have never seen before and I have bought cubes like this in several stores over the years.

It is also nice to be able to buy 6 of the same color at one time so you don't have to wait for the store to get more of the color you want in stock just to find out that they discontinued that color.

Mimosa and Apple Champagne

Our family is big on burning candles both for the scent and for the lovely glow they give a room. Very calming. Ocotillo South West did a really nice job of packaging these candles, they came safe and sound. I really like that they included a little charm on each candle container which makes it great for splitting up for two gifts if you would like to. We are going to save the charms to put on our Christmas tree.

It also came with a wick key which I really like, this is the first time we have ever worked with one and I am very impressed. You just push the wick down into the wax to distinguish and then pull the wick back out for a smokeless way to put out your candle. All that is left is the scent from the candle not the flame being put out. Love this.

They each come with a screw on top and the scents well they are amazing. I wasn't so sure about the Mimosa I was more interested in the Champagne Apple. Turns out I love the Mimosa better then my trusted apple scent which is amazing in itself, but the Mimosa really surprised me.

Making over a old toss pillow

This pillow cover was the perfect way to update old throw pillows in our home to match our bedroom decor.

I love that this has pockets to keep our remotes in because they are always being misplaced around the room.

This cover would also be great in the living room but like I said we used ours in the bedroom over an old toss pillow which you can see in the picture.
