Making Camping more comfortable

Recently I was getting my daughter ready for summer sleep overs and camp and she asked for a pillow. Not wanting to send a pillow from home, you just never know what you can catch. I did some research and found this one by Cobiz that blows up easily, with a washable cover, including case.

I am so glad I found it. It is covered with a super soft cover. What you want to do when you get it is take it out of bag unroll, open back of pillow, open valve and it literally takes 3-5 breaths to fill. I was super surprised. After close valve cover pillow and you are ready to go.

When you are done all you do is open valve and push button while rolling from bottom to valve to release all air then store back in bag. Really easy even for children to do on their own.

As you can see my daughter wanted to try it out right away, and she fell fast asleep. She even has her friends use this when they spend the night if they don't bring their own. Great for car rides, planes, travel, sleep overs, and camping.

Recently I was able to read another installment in the Terry Treetop series called Terry Treetop and the Christmas Star written by Tali Carmi. Our family has been reading books from Tali Carmi for the last few years and we are always excited to see what her characters will be up to next. 

In Terry Treetop and the Christmas Star we learn more about Terry Treetops family. They are getting ready for Christmas and find that their tree still needs to be decorated but are having a hard time getting the star where it belongs. Next comes the adventure which you can read all about in the story.

Word Rush

Recently our family was able to try out a new board game from Tactic called Word Rush. I thought it was going to be too hard for my 10 year old to play with us but it was much easier then I expected. After setting up the board as instructed, the first player flips over the sand timer as well as a category card and answers the card with one of the letters showing on the board. It has to be the first letter and has to fit the category. Once they are done they flip the timer over and set it on the letter they used and the next person tries to beat the first players time. If they don't they move ahead one spot on the game board. 

The last person to NOT reach OUT is the Winner. This game is recommended from 2-6 players, ages 8 and up and considered a family game, which is right up our alley. Lots of fun for family or a fun game night with friends.

As a child growing up in the 70's this was one of my favorite show to watch with my father. Rocky and Bullwinkle was something that was always taking me on adventures, not to mention the little bits of learning thrown in. I am super excited to see what Amazon Prime Video will do with it. I hope they keep it true to the original for the older folks with a little updated stuff for the younger crowd.

The world-famous talking moose and flying squirrel are back in The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, a serialized comedy about two goofball best friends who routinely find themselves thrust into harrowing situations but end up saving the day time and again. As Rocky and Bullwinkle's innocent and silly ambitions to become rock stars or find lost treasure end up dovetailing with Fearless Leader's sinister plans to take over the world, our heroes are set on a collision course with his notorious super spies Boris Badenov and Natasha Fatale.

The series is executive produced by Scott Fellows (The Fairly OddParents, Big Time Rush) and Tiffany Ward, daughter of the original series producer Jay Ward, and features Tara Strong (The Powerpuff Girls, Teen Titans Go!)  as the voice of Rocket J. Squirrel, Brad Norman (America’s Most Haunted) as Bullwinkle J. Moose, Ben Diskin (Hey Arnold!) as Boris Badenov, Rachel Butera (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) as Natasha Fatale, Piotr Michael (Impress Me, MADtv) as Fearless Leader and Daran Norris (The Fairly OddParents) as Narrator.
