MarksvilleandMe reviews ¡Sabor! – Spanish Learning Songs

Let me start with my own language learning and branch off from there. I took 4 years of spanish in middle school and part of high school and then switched over to French for my last two years of school. Matter of fact until on night at the kitchen table when I sat down to help my daughter with her Spanish homework, my husband didn't even know I knew Spanish other then the number because he had met me when I was taking French. So that lets you know how much I used it before my daughter was old enough to need help.

I am in no way fluent in either language and I blame that on the way we were taught in school. We were told right off we are taught one way, and depending on where in the world you might use Spanish the pronunciation could be different. I always thought myself that we should be learning from someone who speaks the language fluently.

I can pick up on key words in both languages and a few others I have been around through out my life. I learned a bit of German, Italian, Chinese, and Hebrew or Yiddish from being around people from these backgrounds.

Now that my older children have finished or are finishing up school, I want my younger children to learn languages in a more natural and fun setting. My two grand daughters are learning Spanish as they are growing which in my opinion is the best way.

When  I received this ¡Sabor! – Spanish Learning Songs almost a month ago and gave it to my children to listen to they were really excited to have new music to listen to, not knowing secretly they were learning a new language. I also play¡Sabor! – Spanish Learning Songs for my grand daughter who listens to Spanish music a lot more then our children and she enjoys it just as much as they do.

I would love to get my hands on some of the other products, that Whistlefritz has to offer. In case you didn't know they offer both learning for the home and teacher programs for Spanish and French.

Whistlefritz was founded in 2006 by a mom's passion to teach her children Spanish through engaging, playful, live-action immersion programs. Since  Whistlefritz  was founded it has been devoted to working with schools and parents through our the world to create entertaining and education programs to inspire the love of language in children.

Learning a second language or more is becoming very important way to communicate with others and something I am glad I encouraged my own children to do.

Remember ¡Sabor! – Spanish Learning Songs releases tomorrow so check it out and give your child a step ahead in learning a second language. If your child already knows Spanish then this CD full of fun songs will keep them busy singing and dancing the day away. Enjoy.

MarksvilleandMe reviews #1 Top Quality Stainless Steel Measuring Cups By KitchenMade™

Our family loves to cook and bake so this was a perfect item for us to review. I have been looking for the perfect set of measuring cups since my husband and I moved out on our own. I have had many sets and believe me all measuring cups are not the same. Most don't even make it a week in our home.

This is how my #1 Top Quality Stainless Steel Measuring Cups By KitchenMade™ arrived once out of the bigger box. Nothing to get too excited about yet. Many sets look nice in pictures but not many are the quality you expect once you receive them.

Still a little weary. Sure they are individually wrapped but lets see what they look like once they are out of the wrapping.

Wow! is what I thought when I unwrapped each and every one. My baking instincts were kicking in and I was truly getting excited.

My favorite part of the cups is that they have more then one measurement on the cups and there are also indentations on the inside of the cups to coincide with what is on the outside of the cup. Making measuring ingredients that much more easier.

To be quite honest once my husband saw these he threw away all of our other measuring cups except one that we use to measure our rice, and certain long handled measuring cup that I use to make our pancakes all uniform in size.

I believe the hunt for the perfect measuring cup is over. What a blessing it is to have a set that nests, has measurements that will not wear off, and that clean up with ease. If anyone has used plastic measuring cups you know that getting the oil, butter, or shortening off with one wash is hardly ever feasible but I had no problem with these measuring cups they came clean every time.

MarksvilleandMe Reviews The Dream Ten : David's Miracle

Review

I am always happy to do a review for something my family or I enjoy. My husband and I both played basketball for fun growing up. For the most part all of my children have played basketball at one time or another, with a few playing on youth teams through out the years. Currently I have an 11 year old and a 6 year old daughter playing for the youth team in our school district.

When my now 11 year old played for the first time in 1st grade she had never touched a basketball before but by the end of the season she was dribbling and trying to make baskets. Even though at the award Ceremony when her coach talked about how far she had come, she didn't play the next year because other children had made fun of her.

She did return in 3rd grade to play and has played every year since. She enjoys it so much she has decided to be on the Traveling Team this year as well as being on the youth team for the last year before before moving on to the School's Junior High Team.

She also has a learning disability which has held her back in everything except for things which require physical activity. This is one area in which the playing fields are leveled between her and other students, and a place where she can truly shine. Yes other kids still pick on her but more and more see her as a whole person instead of just the person they see academically.

I was happy to get The Dream Ten: David's Miracle to read with my children, as I have been wanting my daughters to read more about he sports they love. This is book 1 of twelve in the series so my children and I will have plenty more to read through in the future.

We personally liked how when David Malone and his friends get rejected by the prestigious Raymond Hills Warriors, they decide to make their own team working together to overcome their challenges. Every child needs to learn the lessons that are taught in this book to not only succeed as a child but also to succeed in their adult lives. The younger they learn the better off I believe they will be.

Even know this is geared towards children from ages 7-14. I think that both younger children and adults could learn a thing or two from The Dream Ten: David's Miracle as well.

MarksvilleandMe will eagerly await the next installment in the series from the Dream Ten.

You can buy The Dream Ten : David's Miracle on Amazon.
