I am excited to tell you that The Blobs: Volume 2: Attack of the Glitchies is the second book in The Blobs, a graphic novel
series that blends sci-fi adventure, humor, and high-energy action for readers ages 8-12, written by Justin Stuart and illustrated by Rick Douglas.

The Blobs are back—and this time, everything is on the line. What starts as a chaotic adventure quickly turns into something bigger, as a goofy crew of misfits stumbles upon a stolen stash of incredibly powerful space gems. Along the way, one very unlikely hero begins to discover what it truly means to step up, make the right choices, and maybe even save the galaxy.

About the Book:

Fans of Dog Man, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, and Captain Underpants will love this hilarious, high-stakes adventure about friendship, courage, and what it takes to protect the place you call home. The Blobs are back—bigger, braver, and in more danger than ever. Cadetski and his crew of misfit Blobs finally make it to their new home, Planet Splotch, only to realize they’ve accidentally stolen the most powerful artifacts in the galaxy: the Doomsicles.

Now, they’re on the radar of every villain in the galaxy, especially King Neptune: a tyrant with plans for domination who wants the doomsicles back ... and isn’t asking nicely. With their new world on the brink of invasion, Cadetski and the gang must dive into the planet’s deepest secrets, face impossible odds, and discover that real courage isn’t about size or strength, it’s about sacrifice. And when one Blob is believed to be a galactic “Chosen One,” things go from bad... to bonkers.

Packed with laugh-out-loud chaos, surprising heart, and clean comedy, The Blobs: Attack of the Glitchies cranks the adventure to the max.

You can find The Blogs, Volume 1 & 2, by clicking the photos below.

The Blobs: Volume Two – Attack of the Glitches picks up right where The Blobs: Crash Land left off. Because the plot is so tightly connected, you’ll definitely want to read the first volume before diving into the second to get the full story.

Targeted at kids aged 8–12, this series is a genuine page-turner. It reminds me of being a kid myself—the kind of book where you beg your parents for "just one more chapter" before lights out. It’s exactly what you want for an avid young reader; it keeps them hooked and excited to see what happens on the next page.

Beyond the fast-paced action, what I appreciate most is that each book weaves in meaningful lessons on character. It’s a fantastic choice for any middle-grade reader who loves a good adventure.

    1. I actually read some of hers as a child at least what our library had but when I got diagnosed with stage 3 cancer my goal was to read all 56 of the original books in order and I was able to do that. Love Nancy Drew.
