I am so excited to bring you Testament, which is a powerful new series from Angel Studios that reimagines the Book of Acts in a bold, modern-day setting. Through immersive storytelling and rich visual style, the series brings the early church to life—highlighting the courage, conviction, and sacrifice of the first believers. This is a fresh take on Scripture that will inspire audiences of all ages.
The Book of Acts is explosively reimagined in an alternate-modern era. A resurrection sparks a movement that turns the world upside down, spreading hope amid chaos. As the followers risk everything to preach the good news, the Temple races to silence them before the oppressive Imperium regime retaliates. But public miracles, unburied secrets, and fractured loyalties force both sides to confront the true cost of their choices. This series will challenge you, move you, and make you rethink what it means to truly follow Jesus. With the modern setting, you'll relate to these people and stories like never before.

My review
First and fore-most this series gave me goosebumps more than once as well as feelings of something moving within me. It is centered in a kind of dark and dismal world that isn't like our actual world. Wish it had made it more like how the world is today instead of a distopian world so it would hit a bit harder. It also took me a while to figure out which character matched the people in the Bible. My favorite episodes so far is One Accord which is the third episode. All in all this was a good series but could have been tweeked a little more to our currant world to get the word out stronger.
