As I delve into my CSB Women's Study Bible, I am truly amazed by the richness of information it holds. Though it may feel heavy and overwhelming at first, with time you'll come to cherish the abundance of wisdom it offers.
What I adore about this Bible is the thoughtful inclusion of two ribbons for marking your place, along with maps, images, and profiles of influential Christians throughout history. The book introductions feature outlines and timelines that deepen understanding and enhance the journey.
However, I must note a couple of drawbacks. The words of Jesus are not highlighted in red—a detail I find significant. Additionally, those with vision challenges may require a magnifying glass to read the fine print at the bottom of the pages, where references are located. The overall text size is quite small, and I hope a larger print edition can be created, though I understand that it may come with added weight, which might not suit everyone.
Overall, this is a remarkable reference book crafted by women for women, celebrating the powerful roles of women in the Bible and inspiring them to guide and uplift one another in faith.

Every time I get to tell others about new movies coming out, I get excited. Christmas At The Cabin, starring Todd Terry, Marianne Haaland, Corey Cannon, Sharon Oliphant, and Stacey Sheffield, is a heartwarming holiday film that blends laughter, love, and lessons of faith in one unforgettable Christmas story. I can't wait to see what happens.
“Christmas at the Cabin” is the ultimate feel-good family Christmas movie of the season! Starring Todd Terry, Marianne Haaland, Corey Cannon, Sharon Oliphant, and Stacey Sheffield, “Christmas at the Cabin” delivers a touch of chaos and laughter, plenty of heart, and one truly unforgettable Christmas. Beautiful scenery blends with original music and beloved holiday classics, making this a perfect film for the entire family. Make your plans to watch this Christmas and watch the full trailer below.
I initially mentioned that "Christmas at the Cabin" is suitable for the whole family, but after watching it, I've decided it's better suited for older teens and adults. While the film is enjoyable, I found that it might not capture the attention of younger children. It’s a clean movie that highlights how everyone faces their own struggles and emphasizes that our perceptions of how others view us can often be inaccurate. There are heartfelt lessons from unexpected characters, and the film draws inspiration from the Bible, encouraging viewers to turn to God for guidance.

I first heard about the Sentinelese and the North Sentinel Island in Social Studies in ninth grade (props to my Social Studies teacher, Mr. Dean). Even though I did well in Social Studies, he made the Subject interesting and voiced his opinions openly, which is something you don't see very often in a teacher now. Over the years, I often wondered about that tribe, and now, many years later, I am blessed with being able to tell my readers about a movie based on a true story about the very tribe I have often thought about.
ABOUT:
Based on a true story, Justin Lin's Last Days follows 26-year-old John Allen Chau’s journey to fulfill his life’s mission. He embarks on a dangerous adventure across the globe to share his faith with the isolated tribe of North Sentinel Island, while a detective from the Andaman Islands races to stop him before he does harm to himself or the tribe. PG-13
Starring: Sky Yang, Radhika Apte, Ken Leung
Directed by: Justin Lin
The North Sentinel Island is known for being the home of the Sentinelese, an indigenous tribe that remains completely isolated from the outside world and fiercely rejects contact with outsiders. In 1956, the Indian government established a protected exclusion zone around the island to prevent contact, primarily to protect the tribe from diseases to which they have no immunity and to preserve their way of life.
Last Days opens in theaters on October 24

I know missionaries personally, and our missionaries never went through training like what is shown in this movie, and they are in some of the most dangerous countries to spread the word of God. So seeing how some are trained was very new and different to me. This movie sure had me thinking about how to spread the word of God to those around me, while this man literally put his life on the line to bring the word of God to a place that has probably never heard the word. I also like to think that because they could not find an actual body, he is somehow alive and sharing his faith. I know it is a long shot, but it also makes me sleep better at night. It also reminds me to pray for those out there who are spreading the word of God everywhere.
