Organic Yellow Beeswax

Some people might remember that I bought my husband a candle making kit several years ago and of course after waiting forever for him to use it I ended up using it first but then he took over because he wanted to make some too. Both times we made candles they came out great but we ran out of was. So we started looking at wax and boy is there a big difference in the kind you should and shouldn't use depending on what you are making.

We decided to go with Cosmetic grade since the girls and I could dabble with making lip balm. I know our neighbor and a friend of hers were doing it for a while but haven't heard much news about it lately.

So since we can make many things from this kind this is what we settled on. This is a 1 pound bag and even though the price is a bit higher we are able to make many different things from this one kind of was instead of being limited.

We usually use old wax from older candles and new wax that is in flakes but this is the first time we have used wax pellets and for us it didn't seem to make a difference in making candles at all so we give it a thumbs up. I can't wait to try out lip balm making with the girls I am thinking during Spring vacation we are going to give it a go.
