British Soccer was a success

Soccer is one of our families favorite all time sports. Everyone of our 6 children have played or are still playing. My now 14 year old had an opportunity to  join in the Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp during the summer of 2015 and she had a great time. You can find out more about Challenger Sports below and what they have to offer.

British Soccer Camp is the most popular camp in North America - 150,000 campers! With an innovative curriculum that develops skills, speed and confidence in players ages 3-18, British Soccer Camps provide boys and girls with the rare opportunity to receive high-level soccer coaching from a team of international expert's right in the heart of their own community.

In addition to teaching new skills and improving game performance, each British Soccer Camp provides lessons in character development, cultural education and is the most fun your child can have learning the sport they love!

At the end of the day they would have meetings with all of the children to talk about what they accomplished, what they had to work on the next day and what was yet to come in their training.

Here the children work in different groups and also mentor younger children who are still learning. This is a great step in showing children how to be a team player as well as a leader. My daughter had a great time and talks about this special time often and would suggest this as an option for any soccer lover.

Squishy mats

Recently I was able to try out Squishy Mats for ourselves and I am glad we did. I gifted one to my husband's cousin for her pet to enjoy while we kept one for ourselves. This mat can be used for more then just babies or pets. This can be used by anyone.

One of my favorite places to take this is when I know we are going to a place with hard seats that we will be stuck in for a while. Really helps you stay comfortable longer. Great for getting down on the floor with your kids to play. I have Fibromyalgia so this makes a big difference in my comfort when kneeling or interacting with my children on the floor. It also encourages me to do it more often.

No more hard stadium seats, cement, or grass, now you can enjoy comfort all around. This can even be used in cars, wheel chairs, etc. This is a great item that has versatility to make a world of difference in many ages of life, be it a pet, or a human.

I have the Squishy mat in 3x3' floor mat - folds and fastens with  a carrying bag. They also have two other sizes 16x32" Changing Mat - folds and fastens with a carrying handle, and 4x4' floor mat - folds and fastens with a carrying handle.
What Squishy Mats have to say about their products.

What is a Squishy Mat?
Squishy Mats contain almost one inch of Memory Foam - also known as the low resistance polyurethane foam developed by NASA in the 1960s. The surface of each mat is covered by a super soft, micro-flannel fabric and is backed with a nonslip rubber grid. Each mat is durable, sturdy and designed for life on the move.

How does it feel?
In a word, SQUISHY! Memory Foam is known for its use in mattresses, pillows and even some shoes; it has incredible give and easily returns to its original shape. You and your child will love the luxurious feel of the minky micro flannel top as it glides under your fingers. With nonslip rubber backing, your child won't get wrapped up as he plays, and it won't slide out from under baby if you (or your pet) step on it!

Kitty Play

Our family was homeless for a little over 14 months. Before we were homeless we had re homed our Saint Bernard and 5 Kitties. We are now getting settled and in a few short days will be parents to a set of sister kitties. Since re homing our pets we have bought a few items like this cat teaser from Goldween in preparation when we could start our fur family again.

This set comes with 4 feathers and 6 balls. One ball is missing a turquoise and orange ball that my daughter took for her kitty Gummy to play with. I really love how the pieces can be played with on the teaser wand or independently on the floor. They just clip on and off so you can change up your play with your kitty for optimal fun.

I can not wait to have fun with our new fur family members. This set can be found at my affiliate link below.

Affresh to the rescue

Recently I was able to try out some new appliance cleaners through the #Affreshcrowd by being a member of Crowdtap. We use the affresh cleaner for our Coffee Maker first. We live where there is lime and hard water so having a product that can keep our Coffee Makers clean and running is very important to the coffee drinkers in our family. Just add a tablet and water and run through your coffee maker. Yes this works on single serve makers as well.

Then it was onto the dishwasher tablet cleaner which I gave to my daughter since we don't currently have a dishwasher. To my knowledge it was the first time they cleaned their dishwasher. There dishwasher already looked clean but now it is super clean and they were able to run it through when they did a regular load so they didn't have to waste water, electricity, or time.

Last but not least was the garbage disposal tablet. We don't have one but we put this in our sink drain because we just moved and one of the first things I like to do is clean the drains. Every time we went into the kitchen you could smell something funky. The smell was coming from the drain. Now that we have put one of these tablets our sink doesn't give off that unpleasant odor.

When you spend good money on an appliance you want to make sure to take good care of your investment by referring to your owners manual for care. Keeping your appliances clean will go a long way into keeping them running for years to come.

What I love about these products most is that they are super easy to use and I can find them at my favorite online store Amazon.

Making slime with foam balls

OK so I am sure if you have children you have either been making slime or your child has been watching how to make slime. We have made slime for a long time starting with our now 27 year old son. Then all of his siblings and child care children after him.

One of our simple recipes are below. For this fall the girls wanted to try some colorful slime with colorful styro foam balls, and since this set also had a package of white I thought we would also make a winter themed crunchy slime too.

We have just moved so our arts and craft supplies are not all here yet but once they we are going to get back into making crafts on a regular basis again. You can find affiliate links for the foam balls and the ingredients for the below slime towards the bottom of this post.

You will need a bowl, spoon, 1/4 measuring cup, Elmers Glue (although you could use any white school glue),  Liquid Starch (we buy Sta-Flow because it is the only brand I know of, but if you have another liquid starch available I am sure that would work just fine too), and some tap water. Food Coloring if you want to make different colors.

1. Put a 1/4 cup of glue in the bowl.
2. Then a 1/4 cup of water.
3. Now add your food coloring if using.
To make lavender we used 2 drops of red and 3 drops of blue.
4. Then Stir until combined.
5. Next add 1/4 cup of the Liquid Starch.

This is what it looks like hanging from a serving spoon.
