HSI Glider

So here we are starting another school year. My youngest daughter wanted me to straighten her hair so I was glad that we found this Glider from HSI. With an on and off switch and reaching temperatures between 140 and 450 it is sure to be a great fit for pretty much anyone's hair. 

This literally was ready to use within seconds which was amazing. That is a real time saver alone when you are trying to get your children off to school. Be it a parent doing a child's hair, their own, or even the teen who is all about styling this Glider will get you through. 

It comes neatly packaged so it is great for gift giving. Has a thermal glove that comes in handy and a nice satin like bag which is lined to keep your glider in tip top shape. You also get a trial size of HSI argan oil lean in treatment. I do suggest picking up a thermal spray to protect your hair when using any heat source on your hair and HSI has a good one available. 

My favorite part of this straightener is the 360 swivel cord which keeps you styling your hair instead of fighting with the cord. My daughter is very happy with our new straightener which makes me a happy Mommy.

Toddler Eating Made Easy

Having taken care of my own children during their toddler years and many others I would have loved to have this product from Axsels Home Ware. This is a placemat and plate all in one. It is made from food grade silicone, BPA free, PVC free, and chemical free. 

I love that this sticks to the surface so that learning eaters can eat without having their plate flip over or even better for us caregivers harder for them to pick up and throw. I like to take a wet rag and wipe the spot where this is to be used first seems to give it extra stick. 

This set also comes with a soft fork and spoon for no pain eating for your learning child. Nothing more discouraging then a child hurting themselves with a metal fork which causes them to go back to using their hands. This will give them teachable moments without pain. 

This would make a great gift for the new mom of a toddler, or anyone who needs a little extra helping hand. Easy clean up by hand or in dishwasher.

Colorful Reuseable Straws

One thing to have on hand when you have children are straws.  These straws from BESU are great because you get 25 different straws and a straw cleaning brush.

Electronic Needs for Back to School

With back to school it is time to make sure everyone has everything they need. This year is a bit harder with our current situation but we have made do and gotten most of what we need. With that being said I wanted to make sure the girls had headphones and chargers for their electronics so I also made sure I had a nice long cord for myself.

Moisturizing Face & Body Paint

My girls like to do face painting from time to time. With Community Days, Fairs, and other events coming up my oldest daughter living home helps with face painting. She will be doing face painting at one of the community events next week and then again at the fair so we picked up some face & body paint to have on hand for our own use and for her to practice with so she is ready.

This face & body Paint from iMustech is nice because each color is safe inside sealed 12ml tubes that can be closed with tubes and aren't open to the elements in between uses. iMustech also includes a nice paint brush for applying the face & body paint, although my daughter uses several items to get the effects she personally wants or is creating on someone's face.

The colors in this set of 12 are lemon yellow, burnt umber, vermilion, sap green, viridian, phthalo blue, titanium white, crimson red, ultramarine, burnt sienna, yellow ochre, and black. The best part about these face & body paints is that they are not drying, they are actually moisturizing. 

With other sets we have had I have always put cold cream or moisturizer on my children's faces before beginning. I just makes a nice pallet and helps with easy clean up when you are ready to remove. I also like that this paint does not crack when it is drying, showing the importance of moisturizing effect. 

Last but not least is that these face & body paints are safe and non toxic. I can't rate them as vegan, which is the only thing I can see that would make them great for everyone.
