I never had a hair straightener growing up but I did have a device that crimped my hair. This was our first time having a wand so there is a learning curve and I highly suggest heat proof gloves when you are using these. One of my favorite ways to take time for myself is to take a bath with bubbles and or bath bombs while reading or watching a movie. These bath bombs from Tortuga Life are a perfect size for taking a nice long bath. There are 6 different scents and a bottle of baby bath to take you through many baths ahead. 

I have even used just half of these bath bombs and saved the other half for another bath, that is how nice they are. The scent is nice but not overwhelming, it is non drying, and leaves my body fragrant with the essential oils in each bomb.

Manicure with Glass?

I have been in need for a new manicure stick so when this popped up I was really excited to try a new way to keep my cuticles healthy. Knowing it was glass kind of made me wonder but I have had glass nail files and have loved them at least until my girls borrowed them never to see them again. I am taking they worked well that is why I didn't see them again. So with that said I gave it a whirl with dry skin first which was ok but I like my cuticles worked on better while wet so I usually work on my cuticles while relaxing in the bath.

My cuticles really needed a lot of work and are still a work in progress but this #GERmanikure glass manicure stick is making the work so easy. I am able to use it to push back my cuticles and then turn it over to file my cuticles down. Mrs. Meyer's Basil Hand Soap and Hand Lotion review

Being a blogger and getting things for free for my opinion go hand in hand. With Mrs. Meyer's that was in more ways then one. When I first learned I was getting the Basil hand soap and lotion I was skeptical because frankly I thought I would end up smelling like Italian seasoning, 

As soon as it came we opened it up took pictures and then took a whiff to see what it smelled like. I am happy to say it does not smell like Italian seasoning at all. It had a sweet scent that is pleasant to smell. 

I quickly added these to our bathroom. With the hand soap one pump will wash your hands and lower arms so if you don't have to worry about double or triple pumping to get enough to use. I find that the lotion also has the same results. I am able to lotion my hands and lower arms with one pump. I usually let it set in a bit and sometimes reapply before going out for the day. 

Now when I leave the bathroom I feel pampered each and every time I use my Mrs. Meyers hand soap and lotion. You can buy the lotion and hand soap separately or you can save a dollar and buy them as a set. 

If you aren't into Basil no matter what Mrs. Meyers has you covered they have many scents available and if you want to outfit your whole home with the same scent they have you covered there from laundry soap to dish detergent. Mrs Meyers even has candles.

Beauty Lally has a nice set of synthetic brushes that comes with a really nice case that can be closed for travel or left open on your vanity.

It also includes a nice compact mirror as well as a pamphlet that lets you know what each brush is used for.

I really like how each brush has writing on it to tell you which brush you are using, which is great for newbies to makeup or those who haven't used makeup brushes for a while.

Valentia Eternal Youth Exfoliating Scrub

This scrub is gelatinous with little flecks of scrubbing material in it. My daughter calls it my sparkly scrub, but it does not have sparkles in it, they just look like that to her.

I use this about twice a month on my face with my fingers. After I follow up with my regular skin routine. I usually do this at night so that if there were any red spots, although I haven't dealt with any redness, it will be gone by the morning.

I am always on the lookout for new skin care items. I love to get whole lines of items because they are meant to be used together. When you mix and match you don't know that the items will work together or if you will have breakouts or other problems because of one thing having a reaction to the other.

Recently I was able to try out some new products while sharing samples with friends and family. Three new products from Garnier Whole Blends. I was sent packages of shampoo and conditioner in these three blends.

Honey Treasures

 Here I am after washing and letting my hair dry naturally. It is soft but still has some frizziness. I used the Coconut Water Vanilla Milk.

I then used the Coconut Oil Coconut Butter and found that this tamed my frizziness perfectly for several days.


Last but not least I used the Honey Treasures. This is a repairing shampoo and conditioner so I have decided to back and forth between the Honey Treasures and Coconut Oil Coconut Butter for the perfect mixture for my hair care needs.

Lightly scented not overwhelming, does a great job, affordable, although coupons combined with sales would be when I would purchase this. Every cent counts in our family. I recommend this product for those who want more soft hair, or less frizzy hair, or need a product that will help restore and protect their hair. I am 43 with natural hair, no greys yet and want to keep my hair that way as long as I can.

Salon Glove that can take the Heat

This is the first heat glove I have ever owned and I bought one only because my girls like to do their hair and the new curling irons are used by you twisting your hair around the cylinder and I find that a bit dangerous as well as raising the chance of a nasty burn.

This glove is well made, can take the heat of a curling iron or flat iron which makes me feel much more better about my girls using the newer hair appliances that on the market. I might even give this a whirl myself. Fits on both the left or right hand depending on which you need it on. This glove is slotted for size xs to L which is true to fit as this will not go on my husband's hands which are XL.
