Our family has been using rechargeable batteries for years. I would like to say that we only use rechargeable batteries but that would be a lie. The main reason we don't is because we didn't know they made other sizes other then AA and AAA, but now that we do we are going to order other size batteries as well as a charger that can keep our batteries charged.
Being parents means lots of toys that take batteries. The first thing we look for when buying a toy is if it is rechargeable or not. That usually has a big impact on if we buy it at all, but there are some toys that take regular batteries that you can install rechargeable batteries so we sometimes will break down and purchase these as well.
These would have been real sweet back when we had to replace D size batteries in our baby swing, would have saved a lot of money.
