MarksvilleandMe reviews Vitamin C Serum by Day by Day

Beauty.

I originally was interested in the Vitamin C Serum because it said it helps reverse sun damage. In the summer my freckles come out with a vengeance and as I have gotten older they have have turned to sun spots so I would like to see those diminish.

It is my fault because I don't always use sunscreen because I try to stay out of the sun as much as I can, but forget while I am driving or watching the kids play soccer, I am out in the sun and need to apply a sunscreen.

Being 42 all I can do now is use items that get rid of those spots, or  just protect my skin from anymore damage. Mind you I don't wear makeup all that often so my skin is pretty much open to the elements every day.

Don't get me wrong most people can not guess my age, so I am blessed with looking younger then I am, but I would look even younger if I had worn sunscreen more often in my earlier years.

The Vitamin C Serum by Day by Day beauty seems to be making a difference, once it is gone I am not sure how long the results will last but hope it is for quite a while.

You can buy Vitamin C Serum from Day by Day Beauty on Amazon.

Stretching the Borders Review

Product Description

Sometime reality is beyond all imagination
When you play the game, stretching the borders, you can get lost and forget the rules.
Naomi leads a so-called peaceful life. She lives in a lovely apartment in the center of Tel Aviv with her loving, supporting husband and their two teenage children, works for a daily newspaper, and in her free time concentrates on art. But all this isn’t enough when her entire world is turned upside down one evening after which she’s drawn into a maelstrom of emotions and urges, lies and enigmas. Secrets from the past surface and merge with new ones, and Naomi discovers she’s living a complex life with parallels in several worlds: the people closest to her are also hiding from her their secrets and abusing her trust.
˃˃˃ Forgiveness, absolution, and feelings of guilt
Stretching the Borders raises questions about the essence of forgiveness, absolution, and feelings of guilt, as they face secrets and lies, some less white than others. The threads wrap around each other in a conflict solved only through a process of an agonizing journey, which doesn’t always achieve its desired comfort.
˃˃˃ Painstaking exposing of feelings
With a sharp scalpel and piercing sensitivity, Yael Shachnai invades her protagonist’s soul, painstakingly exposing the feelings and thoughts hiding behind the pretty clothes and carefully applied makeup, while also bravely and honestly scrutinizing concepts such as happy families, relationships, family dinners, protective motherhood, loyalty, and love.

MarksvilleandMe reviews Stretching the Borders

written by Yael Shachnay

This book was very interesting in the effect of explaining how we perceive people to how they really are. You never quite know a person until you have walked a mile in their shoes. It also shows if you spend your time looking at others lives you sometimes lose control of your own life.

The story revolves around Naomi her past and of course her watching her neighbors life from her window. Secrets and lies begin to emerge and Naomi herself must pull herself out of it with an end you will just have to read for yourself.

You can purchase Streaching the Borders on Amazon.

MarksvilleandMe reviews Abigail and the Jungle Adventure

written by Tali Carmi

This is the third children's book from Tali Carmi that I have the pleasure of sharing with my children and grand children. My 6 year old really love Terry Treetop, but likes Abigail just a bit more because she is a girl. She can not wait to read more about Abigail and her adventures.

I have 4 very adventurous girls of my own ages 20, 17, 11, 6 and 2 grand daughters ages 3 years and 8 months following in their steps and it was really nice to see a book that not only has a girl as the main character but also one who likes to go on adventures learning about new things and places.

Girls need support from their family, friends, and community to grow up into intelligent, independent, loving adults that will strive to achieve what they really want out of life. Books with strong female roles are a good source to give girls that extra incentive to persevere and make it in today's society.

Raymond's Uncut Diamond: Review + Giveaway

Product Description

Developing your child's self-esteem and confidence
Dr. Sears reports that self-esteem is your child’s passport to a lifetime of mental health and social happiness. A children's story that explores the meaning of true value and potential is a very powerful tool for the development of any child. When you share this story, your child will be inspired to think of his or her own potential and self-worth, just like the main character.
Raymond's Uncut Diamond takes your child on a journey with a young boy named Raymond, who is given a stone by his Grandpa and sent to the market. While trying to find the right price for his Grandpa's stone, Raymond learns of its true value, as well as his own.
  • Will Raymond succeed in selling his Grandpa's shiny stone?
Will Raymond get the advice he wants from his Grandpa?
What will he learn about true value in his own life?
The lesson of the book is best expressed in this inspirational quote by Joyce Meyer: “Potential is a priceless treasure, like gold. All of us have gold hidden within, but we have to dig to get it out.”
Raymond's Uncut Diamond is a well-written, inspiring story that will help you to teach your child the meaning of the true value within. This book was created to help with your child's:
Self-esteem: Positive self-esteem helps children in their interactions with others and their ability to face life's many challenges. It reminds them that they are worthy of love and accomplishment, and this will stay with them into adulthood. As most children learn their self-worth from their parents, it is very important that parents share stories like Raymond's in order to promote positive self-esteem from a young age.
“Can-do attitude”: Children who repeat “I can't” often seek attention and acceptance through harmful behaviors. However, this book encourages your child to put in effort to become better in everything he or she does. The book reinforces the view that not being good at something is a temporary state and encourages children to accept the responsibility to strive and work to become better.
Raymond's Uncut Diamond is an entertaining read before bedtime, with the whole family, or as self-reading for older children. Additionally, it is a great resource for teachers and counselors to share with individual students or in a class.
With vibrant, delightful illustrations and easy-to-digest lessons, children will become sharp and shining like their true value!!!

MarksvilleandMe Reviews Raymond's Uncut Diamond

written by Assaf Marcus

"Raymond's Uncut Diamond" written by Assof Marcus was a really good book to read to children of all ages. It teaches that just because others can't see the wonderful things you can do, doesn't mean they aren't there.

Too often we see adults and children belittling each other, telling others they aren't good at anything, or they are useless, but this book does a really  good job at explaining how we all start off as uncut diamonds and over time turn to the brilliant eye catching diamond that everyone will eventually see.

From the wording to the beautiful illustrations you and your child are sure to enjoy this book. This book helps with self-esteem, as well as instilling a can-do-attitude. One of my readers will win a copy of 'Raymond's Uncut Diamond' in Ebook form below. MarksvilleandMe wishes everyone who enters Good Luck!
